Delavan Lake property taxes are in the mail.
This week marks not only the Christmas Holiday, but also the arrival of a Christmas present from the Town of Delavan. Delavan Lake property tax bills are in the mail and should be received over the next week.
Here is the breakdown on the property tax bill for Delavan Lake properties.
School District - 56% of the total
Walworth County - 25% of the total
Town of Delavan - 13% of the total
Sanitary District - 5% of the total
State of Wisconsin - 1% of the total
Many will see their tax bills actually DECREASE this year due to the spending freezes and reductions at various municipalities. The greatest increase came from the school district which was about 8%.
