Lake Geneva's Festival of Lights 2009

Looking to get into the mood of the Christmas season, this week-end in Lake Geneva will help. The Lake Genva’s Festival of Lights starts on December 4th and will run thru December 6th. The weekend will have several actives such as the lighting of the downtown area, open houses, horse drawn carriage rides, breakfast with Santa, reindeers, carolers, and the Great Electric Christmas Parade.

The festivities start Friday night with John Powers reading the Polar Express at Caribou Coffee at 6 pm. Afterwards we will walk down to the tree in front of the Riveria to watch the lights. The guest of honor, Santa is resting his reindeers and will arrive in a fire engine.

Saturday you can start your day with breakfast with Santa at Badger High School from 8 to 11 am. Tickets are available at Badger High School $10 for adults and $5 for children 3-12. Photos will be available with Santa.

The Freeze For Life fundraiser event with be held in front of the Riveria Beach from 10 am to 4 pm. For additional information, check out their website at: www.freeze4life.com.

Santa, his Elves and Reindeer will be at Starbucks from 11 am - 2 pm December 5th, 12th and 19th.

The Great Electric Children’s Christmas Parade will start at 5 pm and the route will start at Broad Street and end at the corner of Williams and Marshall.
