Be part of the tradition; Lake Geneva Marathon
Participate in the Lake Geneva Marathon,
Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, Walk or Adventure Race
It may be too late to register for the Chicago Marathon but it’s not too late to be part of the Lake Geneva Marathon. There are no excuses for not competing when there are so many levels of competition available to participants in one single location. The 24th annual Lake Geneva Marathon & Half Marathon, Walk, 10K, 5K, and Adventure Race is May 9th in the scenic and historic Lake Geneva area.
Runner’s World magazine has rated this marathon as one of the best small races in the country, with routes traveling along the lake, challenging hills, quiet and picturesque countryside, and concluding on a trail once used by the Potawatomie Indian tribe. It is a unique marathon and one not to be missed. While it is tough and challenging, the beautiful location in southern Wisconsin makes it well worth the effort.
Packet pick up will be on Wells Street at the Celebration restaurant from 5 to 9 pm on Friday or 6 to 8am on race day. Celebration is also the location of the Friday night pasta dinner. The starting area is located in front of the Riviera which is a local landmark on the lake and everyone who is participating will receive a shirt.
The Adventure Race is a new added attraction this year with an 8 mile run along the north shore of Lake Geneva followed by a 12 mile kayak race. This will be sure to challenge the experienced racers as well as those just beginning.
