Walworth County Fair, Elkhorn, WI

It is fair time! Walworth County Fair starts September 2nd and goes thru September 7th (Wednesday thru Monday). Growing up on a Dairy Farm my brothers, sisters and myself could not wait for the fair. We worked hard getting our cattle and exhibits ready. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday you will see all the 4-H and FFA members getting there cattle, pigs, rabbits, chickens, sheep, horses, etc ready for the judging.

Wednesday: 11 am thru 7pm Tractor and Truck pulls, Grandstand; Noon “Moonlight Madness” $25 wristband; 2:30 Crazy Hat Contest, Barnyard; 5pm 2009 Fairest of the Fair Contest, Park Stage; 6pm Country Idol Contest Semi Finals, Park Stage; 6pm American Legion/VFW Flag Ceremony; 7pm Kings Highway performance, Park Stage.

Thursday: Noon and 7:30 Antique and Senior Class Truck and Tractor Pulls, Grandstand; 2:30 pm Sweet Corn Eating Contest, Kiddieland; 4:30 pm Scarecrow making Contest, Barnyard; 6 pm Country Idol Contest Finals, Park Stage; 7:30 pm “The new voice of Elvis” performance, Park Stage; 7:30 pm Bager State Tractor and Truck Pulls, Grandstand.

Friday: 8:30 am SMILES Open Horse Show, horse arena; 10 am Meat Animal Sale, Wiswell Center; 1 pm Horse Drill Team, Grandstand; 1 pm Horse Shoeing Demo, Barnyard Adventure Stage; 1 pm Little Britches Contest, Activity Center; 2 pm Draft Horse Parade, Grandstand; 2:30 pm Cream Puff Eating Contest, Kiddieland; 3 pm Meat Animal Sale of Champions Wiswell Center; 5 pm Agricultural Spelling Bee Barnyard Stage; 5 pm Badger High School Salsa Dancers, Park Stage; 5:30 and 7:30 pm Bosworth Family Lumberjack Kiddieland; 7 pm Kings Highway performance, Park Stage; 7:30 pm Craig Morgan performance, Grandstand.
