Are You a First-time Home Buyer?
The good news is that I’m working with motivated buyers - they want to take advantage of the first-time home buyer tax credit. The bad news is, they are running out of time. He is being transferred and working very long hours on a high-profile project at work. She is viewing properties, but is having difficulty getting him to free up some time to make a decision.
In order to take advantage of the tax credit, home purchases must close by December 1, 2009. Under normal circumstances, it can take four to six weeks to negotiate an offer to purchase, process the bank documents and title work, and schedule a closing. December 1st is less than 10 weeks away, AND the Thanksgiving holiday occurs during the last week of November.
f you are a first-time home buyer, you need to make your offer NOW!
