Christmas in the Country Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Christmas in the Country kicks off this Sunday November 21, 2010 at Grand Geneva, Lake Geneva, WI. The Grand Geneva lights up over a million lights across the resort. This has to be one of the Midwest’s largest lighting display. It ends with a beautiful winter fireworks display.
Christmas in the Country begins around 4:30 in the Grand Ball Room. (Admission is a
n unwrapped toy or clothing for children 0 to 18, for Toys for Tots.) There will be live music, a ginger bread house display and scenes from “Hooray for Holidays”. They will begin lighting the lights in the resort, then to the exterior lights. My all time favorite is the Twelve Days of Christmas.
Last year was Chloe’s (my granddaughter) her first year attending the lighting ceremony at the age of 3. I know she enjoyed it, but I did not know the impression it made on her. During the Spring we were driving past Grand Geneva and she remembered this was where we went for the fireworks and lights!! This will be the Coulman’s second annual Christmas in the Country in Lake Geneva, WI.
