Lake Geneva Wisconsin - What sells best in the Lake Geneva Area?

I was recently asked that very question: What sells best in the Lake Geneva area? I thought I knew the answer, and I responded that Fontana was the better seller. Buyer asked what that was based on, and I did not have concrete information to back up my statement. I went back to prove my point, and I got a surprise!
From a straight numbers stand point Lake Geneva is consistently a better seller for single family homes from 2010 all the way back to 2006. If you are looking for quality vs. quantity, Fontana has a higher average sale price for the same period. However, it is smallest number of sales. Williams Bay is the most consistent average sales price ($408,774 in 2006 to $359,802 in 2010), and it runs second to Lake Geneva in total number of sales.
If you have any questions or want to chat about the market in general, feel free to contact me. I know the Geneva Lakes area inventory!
