Lake Beulah in East Troy, Wisconsin Offers the "Up North" Feel

Just 20 minutes northwest of Lake Geneva Wisconsin, noteworthy for its moniker, “The Newport of the Mid-West,” and home of the famous, Lake of the Lake steam paddleboat, lies the popular and lesser-known Lake Beulah. Located just minutes away from Interstate 43, Lake Beulah is an all water-sport lake offering excellent fishing, boating, swimming, and sailing. Lake Beulah was one of the first lakes in the area to form a lake conservancy group. Formed in 1894, the Lake Beulah Protected and Improved Association had as its mission the improvement and protection of Lake Beulah and the streams and waters feeding into it. Today, a 250 member association continues this important work of conserving the resources of this 834 acre lake for the enjoyment of future generations.

Historically, prices on Lake Beulah have been substantially less than those on Geneva Lake, making it a good choice for those looking for waterfront property in Southeastern Wisconsin. Late last spring I sold a spectacular maple log home on the lake’s north shore for $1,650,000. Originally built in the 1920’s. the 1.4 acre estate boasted panoramic lake views, 165’ of slightly elevated frontage, 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and two kitchens. On Geneva Lake that same property would have commanded at least $1M more. I currently have listed a gated estate with 6 bedroom suites, private entrance guest quarters with full kitchen, great room, and bedroom; two-story great room with breath-taking lake views – on over 150’ of level lake frontage. Listed at $2,299,900, this immaculate property is idea for large families or for an executive retreat. On Geneva Lake, such a property would easily command close to $3M.

As the spring season approaches, this may be an excellent time to investigate Lake Beulah. Visit my website for information about Lake Beulah and give me a call or email me at www.SellingLakeGeneva.com if I can help you in your lakefront search.
