Day 29: Lake Geneva Wi 365 Things to Do: Next Door Pub & Pizzeria: Can You Say "Pppppppretty Fantastic"?
With so many nuances and prejudices about what makes a certain kind of pizza “da best,” it’s hard to choose– especially for this half-Italian former New Yorker! Next Door Pub makes it easy, because not only do they serve excellent pizza, but the rest of their menu is also quite tasty. I ate there recently as part of a local women’s organization meeting, and I must admit, I’ve never seen or tasted so many yummy pies. My favorite was “The Vegetarian” which was laden with cheese, onions, mushrooms and green peppers – but “The North Shore” was excellent as well.
Next Door Pub’s menu is extensive and there’s something for everyone…even those watching their waistline. The soup and salad selections are fresh, the “bar food” just a little bit innovative (for example, their boneless chicken wings), and their sandwiches a pleasant surprise from the norm.
Next Door Pub & Pizzeria is located on the north side of Lake Geneva on Hwy 120 (411 Interchange N). They are open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday –Thursday; 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 12 p.m.-10 p.m. on Sunday. Give them a call if you want to pre-order or pick up: 262-248-9551.
