A Stitch in Time Saves Nine
If you’re in need of sewing alterations or custom sewing creations, look no further. K&L Fashions, Inc. is now located in downtown Lake Geneva. Not only do they offer alterations, they will sew custom clothing for you, and even have their own line of handmade clothing, jewelry, scarves, and purses. I’ve found their work to be excellent, fast, and very reasonable.
Owners Laura O’Halleran and Kris Nish bring over 25 years of experience in sewing, alterations, and fashion merchandising. They excel in creative solutions to not only altering ill-fitting and out-of-date clothing, but combining items and bringing a whole new look to something you might have been ready to throw out. They recently took an older, long blazer of mine with shoulder pads and redesigned it into a snappy, contemporary jacket. I had always loved the color and material, and never could bring myself to get rid of it…and now I don’t have to! Their facility is comfortable and relaxed, with a dressing room and elevated platform with 3-way mirror for easy custom fittings. They also specialize in alterations and re-design of furs (sometimes difficult to find), as well as wedding and formal attire.
