United States Nationals Snow Sculpting Competition at Winterfest, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Posted to 365 Things to Do in Lake Geneva, Area Attractions & Events

This weekend, check out the United States National Snow Sculpting Competition on Wrigley Drive in Lake Geneva.  Located in front of the historic Riviera building on Geneva’s lakefront, fifteen teams from across the US have begun work on their snow blocks, culminating in judging and awards on Saturday.  Sculptures will remain on display as long as the weather permits.

Enjoy magic and music while you cast your ballot for the “People’s Choice Award.”  Then move on to enjoy a wagon, helicopter, tethered balloon and a sleigh ride.  If you haven’t had enough outdoor fun, move the party to the Winter Carnival at The Mountain Top at Grand Geneva.  Games, competitions, and a scavenger hunt will lead up to the torch-light parade down the mountain with fireworks at 8:00p.m.

Activities such as these, along with shopping, good food and great scenery make the Lake Geneva area a premier weekend getaway – even in the winter!
