Day 52 of 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, WI: Sweet House of Madness
Whether you have an insatiable sweet tooth or just have an occasional hankering to treat yourself, you are going to love the new bakery in Lake Geneva. Sweet House of Madness opened last week with rave reviews. They are located next to Simple at 521 Broad Street. Their cases are filled with cookies, cupcakes, cheesecakes an
d pastries. There were so many great looking choices it was hard to make a selection. I went with the Cherry Strudel and a mini Chocolate Ganache Cheesecake. I honestly can’t wait for an opportunity to head back and try something else.
Jonna and Amanda were friendly and very enthusiastic when talking about their future plans for the bakery, including a large window being installed between the cases and the kitchen so customers can watch Jonna as she works on her creations. Everything in the cases is made on site, from scratch using only the freshest ingredients.
Stop in and check them out. Treat yourself to a little something sweet and a cup of Alterra coffee. Sinfully delicious and well worth every calorie.
