Day 81 of 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, WI: Shrine Circus
Head to the Walworth County Fairgrounds in Elkhorn this Wednesday, June 1st to see the 2011 Shrine Circus. Watch the elephants move gracefully around the ring and build pachyderm pyramids. Enjoy the White Tigers as they perform stunts for their trainer, who has been working with them since they were cubs. For those of you have like the thrill of watching “death defying” acts, the aerialists and high wire artists will impress you with their acrobatic maneuvers performed high above the floor of the circus ring.
What circus is complete without the clowns? They will perform and entertain you with their crazy antics, colorful costumes and expressive make-up.
Show times are at 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on June 1st. Tickets are available at the Walworth County Fairgrounds box office on the day of the performances. Plan to get your tickets early for the best seats. Check out the Shrine Circus website for a coupon that provides a free child ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket. Information is also available for the Circus Pre-Party that begins one hour before the show. Opportunities for elephant and pony rides, face painting and meet and greets with the performers will be available.
