Day 62 of 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, WI: Lake Geneva Marathon

The Lake Geneva Marathon kicks off this Saturday, May 7th with several days of events. Friday’s pre-race event is a pasta dinner at Celebration on Wells from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Stop in and load up on those carbs for race day. Race packets will be available for pick-up during the dinner event. Anyone not making it to Friday night’s event can pick up their race packet on Saturday morning at the Harbor Shores between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

Anyone not interested in completing a full marathon may be happy to know that there are actually five different races and a walk planned for Saturday. The official marathon which is USAT&F certified starts at 8:00 a.m. and takes runners all the way around the lake. The Marathon Walk begins at 5:00 a.m. and follows the same course. The Half Marathon starts at 8:00 a.m. and finishes up at Reid Park in Fontana. For the all terrain runner they offer the Euro Marathon which starts at 8:00 a.m. but the course follows the lake path. Beginning at 8:15 a.m. are the 5K and 10K runs which will start at Library Park and head out Highway 50 to Snake Road.

Lunch is being catered for all participants by Gino’s East and will be served at the Harbor Shores. Tickets are available for friends and family of participants and can be purchased for $6.00.

Agents and admin. staff from Keefe Real Estate will be handing out water and Gatorade at the 1st hydration station on the course.
