Day 63 of 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, WI: Icebreaker Kayak Challenge

Looking for a reason to get out on the water? The Fontana Paddle Company is holding their 1st Annual Icebreaker Kayak challenge, Open House and Grand Opening Celebration this Saturday, May 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Get your 4-8 person team together and join in the one mile relay race. The entry fee is only $60.00 per team with all proceeds going to “Heroes on the Water,” a non-profit organization that helps to provide kayaking experiences to War Veterans and their families. The race begins at the Fontana Public Beach at 10:00 a.m. and the entry fee provides all the equipment you will need. All participants will receive a “Heroes Pass” that entitles them to 50% off kayak and paddle board rentals every Tuesday throughout the summer. All proceeds from those rentals will also be donated to the “Heroes on the Water” fund.

Along with the relay race, the Fontana Paddle Company will be offering free clinics and demonstrations in kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, kayak fishing, rowing and sailing. Don’t miss out on the door prizes which include an overnight package at the Abbey Resort and Spa and a Jackson Riviera Kayak. T-Shirts, posters and free food guarantee that the day promises to be full of fun.
