Day 53: Things to Do 365 Days a Year in Lake Geneva, WI - Movies Under the Stars
Remember the drive-in movies when you were a kid? Everyone piled into the family car, grabbed insect repellent, packed sandwiches and snacks and went to the drive in…well, the good ol’ days are back this summer with Movies Under the Stars. On Friday, June 17th, Big Foot Recreation District will host Gnomeo & Juliet at Sharon-Goodland Park, by the school water tower in Sharon, WI. According to one review, “Gnomeo & Juliet is exactly the kind of movie you wish for when you’re the parent of small children. It’s fast, funny and smart enough to tickle tots and amuse adults.” The sound track is made up of Elton John hits from the 1970’s – and with that kind of music everyone is sure to leave with a smile. Movies show at dusk and the cost is only $1.00. Concessions are available (of course!) The town of Sharon is located southwest of Lake Geneva, Williams Bay and Fontana. For more information, look here ! There’s so much to do around Geneva Lake this summer, so be sure to check out my blog or visit me on facebook for Things to Do 365 Days a Year.
