(Kid-Friendly) Music Under the Stars In and Around Lake Geneva, WI this Weekend
Summer is a wonderful time to enjoy music under the stars in and around the Lake Geneva area. Unlike staid concert halls, outdoor concerts are the perfect opportunity to introduce young children to the likes of bluegrass, jazz, classical, and folk music. This weekend, June24th through June 26th, there are several places where you’ll be able to stretch out on a blanket and snuggle up to wonderful tunes:
Friday, June 24th
Old World Wisconsin, Eagle, Wisconsin- Concert in the Heartland: The Legacy of the Land at 7 p.m. The Wisconsin Philharmonic will perform on the Visitor Mall. Free museum admission will be included with concert ticket purchase.
Saturday, June 25th
Delavan, Wisconsin- Phoenix Park presents: A Taste of Delavan. An all-family friendly event of fun, food and music will be held beginning at noon. The day will begin with the hands-on percussion of Michael Suess’ Peace Drum Circle, acoustic folk artistics Kishwaukee Ramblers, Krystal Cooke, Mary Stephan, David HD Drake, and Trillium. Children’s activities will include face painting, a clown, jumping room, popcorn and more. A free event!
Sunday, June 26th
Lake Geneva Wisconsin- Concerts in the Park, Flat Iron Park offers free concerts in the greenspace across the street from Geneva Lake on Wrigley Drive. On Sunday, The Volunteers, (U.S. Army Field Band), will perform from 2-3 p.m. Bring your blankets and your lawn chairs.
