Posted to 365 Things to Do in Lake Geneva, Area Attractions & Events, Fontana, Geneva Lake Area

Wondering about what 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin has planned for today? Well, wait no more, and make sure you plan to head to Fontana’s Reid Park this Saturday, July 30th to enjoy the 28th Annual Lobster Boil and Steak Fry. Lion’s Club members will be cooking up and serving Lobster and Steak Dinners from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. You say you can’t wait until 2:00 p.m. to eat? No problem, they will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and soda starting at noon.

The lobster boil was started in 1983 with 150 dinners served. Last year the Lion’s served up more than 2,300 dinners. The meals consist of either a 10-12 oz. lobster tail or a 14 oz. Black Angus rib eye steak, with both entrees being accompanied by peas, boiled red potatoes, boiled onions, drawn butter, rolls and dessert. Tickets are available in advance at Chuck’s in Fontana, Sentry in Walworth or through any Lion’s Club member. Tickets will also be available at the door. Prefer to eat your lobster at home? No problem, there will be a drive-thru service at the Park House from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Live entertainment starts at noon and continues through 11:30 p.m. There will be a children’s area with lots of activities to keep the kids entertained, as if the beach and the lake aren’t enough.

This is a great community event, with all proceeds being donated back to various projects in Fontana, Walworth and Linn Township.
