Day 127 of 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, WI: Town of Geneva Fun Festival
Today’s 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is the 4th Annual Town of Geneva Fun Festival which begins with their pre-festival event this Saturday, July 30th at the North Point Pier Boat Launch. Get ready for the always entertaining Cardboard Boat Race on Lake Como. The boats launch at Noon so make sure you bring your camera to capture all the fun. All teams must construct a boat using nothing but cardboard and duct tape. No registration necessary, just show up and hope for the best. The rules are simple. The first boat to navigate the course wins! The event is coordinated by Freddy’s West End.
The actual Festival begins at the North Point Pier Boat Launch the following Saturday, August 6th at noon and runs until 10:00 p.m. The festival has a 1950s sock hop theme this year so dig out your poodle skirts, saddle shoes and letter sweaters. Plan to come out and support the Town of Geneva while enjoying a talent show, live music, food, drinks, a big money raffle and entertainment for the kids. In order to alleviate parking issues at the festival, shuttle boats will run on the lake from noon until 10:00 pm. with pickup locations at Mars Resort, Kirsch’s and In The Drink.
