Day 147 of 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, WI: Walworth Co. Fair

Posted to 365 Things to Do in Lake Geneva, Area Attractions & Events, Geneva Lake Area

Attention all 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin fans! You are not going to want to miss the good old fashion family fun to be had at the 162nd Walworth County Fair. Opening ceremonies begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31st. Festivities run daily through Monday, September 5th.

Enjoy daily demonstrations by a chainsaw artist, catch the pig races in Kiddieland, check out the 4-H displays, ride the rides at the midway and watch the tractor pulls. There is literally something for everyone - not to mention non-stop live music and tons of food.

Make sure you either enter or at least plan to watch the eating contests. See friends and family eat pie, pickles, cream puffs, watermelon and ice cream. Can you even imagine the headache from speed eating ice cream?

Grandstand acts this year include the tractor and truck pulls, Montgomery Gentry, Rodney Atkins, the Doobie Brothers and the Demolition Derby. A great line-up of talent and fun, all for the price of admission to the fairgrounds.

If you plan to attend the fair on Labor Day which is Monday, September 5th make sure you stop by the park at 11:00 a.m. for the Support Our Troops rally.

Ride the rides, look at the animals or eat your way through… No matter what your interests are you are guaranteed to find something to do at the fairgrounds in Elkhorn.
