Things to do in Lake Geneva Wi 365 Days a Year: Day 71 Lake Geneva Wine Festival Weekend Events

Posted to 365 Things to Do in Lake Geneva, Area Attractions & Events

The Lake Geneva Wine Festival Weekend events schedule actually begins hours before the Grand Tasting Event to be held at the Ferro Pavilion at George Williams College of Aurora University in Williams Bay, Saturday 3-6pm. Downtown Lake Geneva will host the Taste of Lake Geneva, Saturday 11am-5pm and Sunday 11am-4pm. Enjoy savory tidbits from local restaurants, outdoor music, and shopping. In the Lake Geneva downtown shopping district, several stores will offer wine and related wine products. At Pesche’s Greenhouse Gift Gallery, stone wine bottle stoppers created from ocean stones will be the featured sale item. The Cornerstone Shopp, one of the event’s sponsors, is chock full of wine themed gifts and has a limited number of the 2011 Limited Edition Wine Festival Posters available for purchase. Of course, stores such as Pop More Corks and Bruno’s Liquors are sure to be in the swing of things as the Lake Geneva Wine Festival weekend evolves.

The Lake Geneva Wines Festival Grand Tasting, a casually elegant affair (don’t you just love leaving the tux behind?), is an afternoon of wine tastings of wines from around the world enhanced by food samplings from award-winning restaurants. Culinary demonstrations, wine tastings, live and silent auctions and lots of friendly chit-chat amongst friends, neighbors, and guests will provide the entertainment…and the memories.

The Lake Geneva Wine Festival is a cultural and education event with proceeds going to local nonprofit organizations that support the needs of children and families in the greater Lake Geneva area. Tickets are $75. For more information check this out! If you fall in love with the Geneva Lake lakefront views (which are sumptuous at the George Williams campus), give me a call! I’d love to show you around and help you find your own little piece of heaven on the shores of Lake Geneva.
