Day 162 of 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, WI: Lake Geneva Hope Walk

Here is another one of the great 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin that benefits people right here in our community. Join the Lake Geneva Hope Walk on Saturday, September 24th in support of breast cancer awareness.
Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. in Library Park and closes at 9:00 a.m. Walkers may begin right after registration. Due to the narrowness of the walking path there will not be a mass start. The walk is approximately 14 miles in length and runs from Library Park to Edgewater Park in Williams Bay and back. There is also a five mile walk this year that takes you from Library Park to the Driehaus Estate and back.
Show your spirit and creativity by putting together a fun outfit for the “Best Dressed Contest.” The winner will be honored with being next year’s “Face of Hope” on all advertising for the 2012 event.
Last year’s Hope Walk raised $8,300 that was donated to the Aurora Health Care Breast Treatment Assistance Program which helps defray medical expenses for underinsured women with breast cancer.
