Day 163 of 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, WI: Whisker Walk

Posted to 365 Things to Do in Lake Geneva, Area Attractions & Events, Delavan, Geneva Lake Area

After all the rain we have had the last few days, it looks like they are forecasting nice weather for the upcoming weekend. 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, WI recommends that you take the family pooch and check out the Whisker Walk in Delavan.

The Lakeland Animal Shelter in Elkhorn cares for over 2,500 homeless animals each year and their expenses are staggering. Consider participating in the Whisker Walk this Saturday, October 1st in Upper Springs Park in Delavan to help raise funds for the shelter.

The walk is approximately one mile in length and begins at 11:00 a.m. All walkers and pets are welcome. Pets are required to be current on vaccinations, licensed and wearing proof of all on their collar. They must be on a leash that is six feet or less, or contained in a carrier.

Every registered walker raising $25.00 or more in pledges will receive a T-shirt and goody bag. There are contests and a scavenger hunt with prizes including a $1,000 travel voucher, an Apple iPad and a Kindle wireless reading device.

Plan to bring your dog, your friend’s dog, or walk a shelter dog, just don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference in the life of “man’s best friend.”

We’d love to have you connect with us on Facebook, check us out at Lake Geneva Property.
