Day 153 of 365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, WI: Yellow Ribbons to Remember

Posted to 365 Things to Do in Lake Geneva, Area Attractions & Events, Geneva Lake Area

As we head into a beautiful September weekend in Lake Geneva, we encourage you to please take a moment to remember those lost in the attacks in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania on 9/11/2011. It is hard to believe that this Sunday will mark the 10th Anniversary of that day.

As you are out and about over the course of the next few days take the time to drive past the Lake Geneva High School on the corner of South and Wells Streets. The students have placed one yellow ribbon on the fence between the High School and the Middle School for each of the 2,977 lives lost in the 9/11 attacks on our country. Each ribbon contains the name of a victim, someone whose absence has forever touched our hearts.
