Take a Trolley to the Ice Cream Shop in East Troy, WI

When you are in East Troy, WI, be sure to take a ride on the East Troy Electric Railroad. It is a relatively short ride that starts at the famous Elegant Farmer and goes into downtown East Troy then heads back. It stops the East Troy Electric Railroad Museum as well as J. Lauber’s Ice Cream Parlor. I can remember as a small kid taking the trolley and going into J. Lauber’s and being able to order delicious ice cream. They also make floats and drinks that come in many different flavors; if they haven’t changed the choices since I was a kid, you might want to try one of my favorites – a grape or cherry float. Taking a ride on the trolley to Lauber’s was definitely a memory I will always remember because it is something that people do not get to experience every day. So next time you are in the area, I highly recommend taking your kids on this old fashioned ride “back to the past.”
