East Troy WI Elegant Farmer Offers Fall Family Fun
When my children were young, we would head out to the Elegant Farmer each fall to pick apples and pumpkins. Today, families continue to enjoy the Elegant Farmer experience year ‘round. The Elegant Farmer, in East Troy, Wisconsin is located at the junction of County Roads ES and J, just west of I43, and is just a short ride from Lake Geneva, Williams Bay, Delavan, Elkhorn and the Milwaukee metro area. I stopped by the Elegant Farmer a few days ago on a nostalgic whim and was rewarded with a cornucopia of autumnal delights.
Crisp apples are waiting to be enjoyed in pies, homemade applesauce, crumbles, or covered in caramel. The Elegant Farmer’s “apple pie in a bag” is famous and not-to-be-missed. I chose a smaller version with raspberries and apples that my husband loved!
The Elegant Farmer also offers a large selection of Wisconsin cheeses, a nice deli selection for those choosing to picnic, frozen fruits in bulk, and a wonderful assortment of baked goods (their muffins will feed 2-3 people). Weekends tend to be a bit crowded, but that’s all part of the fun – and the East Troy Electric Railroad is sure to please the younger ones. Make an annual outing to the Elegant Farmer one of your seasonal traditions!
