Where should we buy our Christmas Tree?

Posted to Marcy Hammett

This morning a friend called to ask “Where should we buy our Christmas tree?” Sean & Joy are from Glenview, a Chicago suburb & own a second home in the Lake Geneva area. In the past they brought their trees from home but this year they decided to buy local. Without hesitation I answered COUNTRY SIDE TREES (W6611 N Walworth Rd, Walworth, WI 53184. Open Nov 21 - Dec 24; weekdays 10 am - 5 pm, weekends 9 am - 5 pm.) They offer fresh cut or you can cut your own. If you buy a pre-cut, they will re-cut the trunk, bag it & load it in your car, tying your back gate if needed. They couldn’t be friendlier or more accommodating. If only they could come home and help me get it straight in the stand. After two days my 10 foot fresh cut Balsam is up, smelling wonderful & looking marvelous, much prettier in person.

**Another tip: I purchased new LED lights from Heyer True Value Hardware on Hwy. 67 in Walworth WI. They were a great price; on sale with an additional on-site rebate from your utility company. Most importantly, Myra of Heyer provided the epitome of old-fashioned service, demonstrating the lights, helping me determine how many I needed & filling out the rebate forms for me – can you believe it!?

(Sean & Joy, originally my clients, know they can always call me for referrals to what ever they need locally, I’d love to do the same for you.)
