Halloween in Antioch IL ** Trick or Treat **
The best idea I’ve seen thus far to promote businesses, community & families was this year’s trick or treat in Antioch IL. The businesses that participated were mostly on Main Street, some were on Lake Street. It was Saturday, October 24th from 12n-5pm.
The sweetest treat in the prettiest package came from Something Sweet, a specialty candy shop, and “bravo” to whomever makes the fudge. David’s Bistro is somewhat new to the area and I wanted to stay for dinner, but the kids handed me a tootsie roll and we kept going.
My favorite shop is JJ Blinkers, you guessed it, it’s a costume shop plus. They had a fun gift plus a candy treat. The kids made out like bandits! I went into shops that I would of just past by before only because I just didn’t know they were there. Picasso’s Pals, 847-395-2160, has art classes for children, Tanks to You is an aquatic shop, 847-838-0033 and Antioch Music offers a vast selection of musical instruments & lessons. Guitar, piano, you name it.
It was a nice Halloween treat for parents and kids. I’ve already written my letter to the town saying “thank you” it was great fun.

Mail Boat Tours in Lake Geneva Wisconsin
The summer season is over for delivering the US mail via the mail boat service. Before it ended I conveniently picked up my tickets at the Riviera located in downtown Lake Geneva Wisconsin. I’m happy to say it was one last thrill of ride. It was so exciting to watch the mail person jump onto the pier, but I was gripping my chair when it was time for him to leap back on to the boat. It happens so fast I could barely get a good photo. I have found tremendous value in several of the Lake Geneva Cruise Line boat tours.
It’s a must do for next season.
